Education + Action = Impact
Inspire a child. Grow a garden.
Every Kibble book purchase helps us gift wildflower seeds and a book to a child in need. Together, we're helping pollinators thrive and inspiring young minds to do the same.
Help Kibble and his friends by planting wildflower gardens to restore declining pollinator habitat. We'll help you get started with our free Kibble's Wildflower Mix.

Free Nature Activities, Educational Resources & Classroom Extensions
At West Creek Media™, we believe children learn about the natural world through opportunities to ask questions, explore, create, and connect stories with everyday experiences. That’s why we offer free educational resources, printable children’s activities, and classroom extensions to help families, teachers, and caregivers make nature-based learning accessible and enjoyable.
Environmental stewardship can begin with something small: noticing a butterfly, discovering why fallen leaves matter, or observing how living things depend on one another. Our goal is to help turn that curiosity into understanding and thoughtful action through approachable learning materials.
Many of our current resources accompany Kibble the Monarch Caterpillar Afraid to Get Wings, a children’s storybook about courage, friendship, and change. These book companion materials extend the story beyond the page, creating opportunities for discussion, creativity, early science learning, literacy, and social-emotional development.
Families can use the activities during read-aloud time, on a quiet afternoon, or as a starting point for outdoor exploration. Teachers and community educators can choose materials to complement classroom lessons, encourage conversation, or extend a shared reading experience. Use what fits your learners, your setting, and the time you have available.
Depending on the resource, topics may include monarch butterflies, pollination, wildflowers, life cycles, nature vocabulary, courage, and kindness. Creative activities and learning prompts invite children to explore connections between themselves and the environment without needing a complicated curriculum.
Learning can also inspire practical care for nature. Discovering pollinators may encourage a family to grow flowers. Exploring wildlife habitats can spark closer observation of an outdoor space. These small experiences help children recognize that their choices matter.
You don’t need a large garden, specialized equipment, or extensive scientific knowledge to begin exploring nature together. Start with curiosity, notice what’s around you, and let children’s questions guide the next discovery.
Explore the free nature activities, Kibble book companion materials, printable learning resources, and classroom ideas available here. Use them at home, at school, in a community setting, or outdoors, adapting each activity to the people you’re learning with.
Our hope is simple: to make learning joyful and help the next generation become thoughtful, compassionate stewards of the natural world.
